Co-founder Josh Phifer spent his early years on Nebraska and Wyoming ranches and remains deeply connected to the ranching and farming communities through family and friends. Josh graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and spent 12 years as an Air Force fighter pilot. He is currently an MBA student at The Wharton School and plans to return to his roots in the Western Plains next year.

Co-founder Vince Kuchar served in the United States Army for 10 years as an Infantry Officer after graduating from Clarkson University. He commanded a Special Operations Ranger Company and deployed seven times to Iraq and Afghanistan. Vince is an Eagle Scout, and he has extensive experience utilizing unmanned aerial systems and sensors. He is currently an MBA student at The Wharton School.

Barn Owl helps farmers and cattle ranchers improve efficiency in their businesses. The company installs water tank sensors and wireless receivers so that you can check water levels from your phone.
